I think just about everyone has seen this donut somewhere or other. But that didn’t stop me from finding my way to Southern California. Located on Manchester Boulevard near LAX this Randy’s Donuts may be one of the most recognized donut shops in the country.

What can I say about this piece of American Automotive Art. This huge tire stands beside litter strewn I-94 in Allen Park, MI. I-94, appropriately enough, when it enters Detroit is named the Henry Ford Expressway. How ’bout that.

Another inflatable. A once in a lifetime shot for me since I got this one in St. Louis during a Grand Opening of a Circuit City Store, and a long way from home. Of course if you live in St. Louis you may see the KSHE pig around town. My guess is that KSHE is a rock ‘n roll station. What do you think?

Caught this Big Guy outside Ralph’s Muffler Shop in Indianapolis on 16th Street a couple of miles East of the track. He’s Mister Bendo and I understand he’s been there a while and is a local icon. Thanks Mike for climbing over the cars.

People from Philadelphia are familiar with this Big Clothes Pin since it located across from City Hall at Broad and Market. My sister Irene took the image with great aplomb. Afterward we had lunch at Cafe Warsaw and had elegant Polish food. (No kidding, it’s a great place.)

A pretty good quality Big Chair. It’s not always outside, note the casters on the bottom of the legs. I got this image courtesy of my Bird Dog Jan. She has a pretty good sense of humor even though she she works in HR. (That might be a mistake, poking fun at HR, but we (me) Big Picture Takers live close to the edge.)
